Former Sierra Leone Ambassador to South Korea, Ambassador Omrie Golley, a prominent figure within the All People’s Congress (APC) party has extended a helping hand to those affected by a devastating fire that recently struck Kombeima Town in YKK Chiefdom, Pujehun District.

The incident, which occurred on April 4th, left over a dozen homes in ashes, leaving numerous families without shelter, clothing, or food during the holy month of Ramadan.

Representatives acting on behalf of Ambassador Golley, who is currently abroad, distributed essential household items and food provisions to the affected residents. The donated supplies, including mattresses, clothing, footwear, rice, cooking oil, and onions, aimed to alleviate the immediate hardships faced by the victims of the fire.

Chief Momoh, the town chief of Kombeima, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the community, acknowledging Ambassador Golley as the first to heed their call for assistance. The donation resonated deeply with the villagers, particularly the women, who had endured sleeping in the open since the tragic event.

Massah Konneh, the town Mamy Queen, emphasized the significance of the donation in easing the suffering inflicted by the fire, extending heartfelt appreciation to Ambassador Golley for his support during this challenging time.
