The Pujehun District Council has convened its 29th Ordinary Rotational Council Meeting at the St. Stephen’s Higher National (SSHN) campus in Sahn Malem, bringing together key actors in local governance and development.

The statutory meeting, which serves as the District Council’s Parliament, assembled Councillors, members of the Council’s Administrative Wing, representatives of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), development partners, stakeholders, and community members from across the district.

During the session, updates were presented on the Council’s day-to-day operations, ongoing and planned development projects, and partner-supported interventions. MDAs also outlined their respective roles and contributions toward advancing development initiatives within the district.

As a rotational council meeting, the event provided an important platform for stakeholders and residents of Sahn Malem and its environs to observe firsthand how Council meetings are conducted. It also enhanced public understanding of the Council’s mandate and its central role as the hub for coordinating development efforts in Pujehun District.

The Pujehun District Council continues to use rotational meetings as a means of promoting transparency, inclusiveness, and citizen engagement in local governance, while strengthening collaboration among government institutions, partners, and communities.
