The newly appointed Regional Crime Officer, ASP Mohamed H. Feika, has on the 14th May 2024 engaged investigators at the Kenema Police Division as a means of reinforcing the fight against crime in the Region.

The SLP Media Unit-East revealed that, the investigators were drawn from different units that form, both the Regional and the Divisional investigation pools which is aimed to create acquaintance and discuss strategies for enhancing security measures and tackling criminal activities among others.

RCO Feika revealed that prior to his appointment, he had already worked as crime officer in various divisions within the borders of Sierra Leone and had considerably won wealth of experiences which may be useful in having t connected to others in the sector for a joint work in achieving a common goal, as well as encouraged investigators to be professional and dedicated in their service delivery.

He admonished investigators and supervisors to execute effective Case File Management, which encompasses Abstract Reports writing  and Records of movement on files. He strongly warned against investigators delaying cases that has the tendency to undermine the trust and confidence of the police.

The Regional Crime Officer outlined his vision for a safer Eastern Region, outlining plans for targeted operations, intelligence-driven policing, and capacity-building initiatives for the personnel. He assured them of his full support and urged them to work diligently towards achieving the common goal of a crime-free society.

He cautioned Investigators to be  updating him on progress of matters under investigation, for the immediate attention of the Regional Commander, who is no less a person, but Commissioner Andrew M. Kamara, and noted that with the support of the Commissioner, he would roll out same meetings to other divisions that are under his purview.
