The Secretary General of the Sierra Leone Football Association, Christopher Kamara has disclosed on a Facebook post that the new Freetown Airport gives him a sense of pride and confidence.

“I used the new Freetown International Airport this morning and it gives me a sense of national pride and confidence that indeed we can be counted amongst nations that are serious. Well done President Bio and Government. Sierra Leone is on this right path with such unprecedented development,” Kamara stated.

He further thanked President Bio and the Government of Sierra Leone for what he described as an unprecedented development.

The New Freetown International Airport officially opened for commercial use on Saturday 25 March 2023. The Airport was built by Summa, a Turkish construction company with a worldwide portfolio of marquee projects including airports, convention centres and hotels.
