Two Security Guards Plead Not Guilty to Assault Charges in Freetown

Thirty-eight-year-old Gibrilla Sesay and eighteen-year-old Isha Sesay, both security guards, appeared before Magistrate Mamakoh Saio Kallon of Pademba Road Court No. 3 in Freetown on a two-count charge of wounding, contrary to Section 20 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, contrary to Section 47 of the same Act.

According to the particulars of the offence, on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, at the Audit Building, Tower Hill, in the Western Area of Freetown, the defendants allegedly maliciously wounded and assaulted Alie Turay, causing him actual bodily harm.

When the charges were read and explained, both defendants pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Detective Police Constable 17220 Joel B. Sannoh, requested a short adjournment to lead his witness.

Magistrate Kallon adjourned the matter to 9th October 2025, with bail continued for the defendants
