Security Sector Reacts to Video of Man Threatening to Use Revolver Against APC Supporters

The Security Sector has reacted to a video made by a Sierra Leone abroad threatening members of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC).

In the 52 second video, a man was shown brandishing a gun while stating that it is meant for supporters of the APC.

The Security Sector equated the video to precursor of violence while describing the author as a coward.

“The Security Sector, condemns, with utter revulsion and dismay, this unpatriotic attitude and calls on the author to retract the unfortunate piece,” the said.

They added that they currently studying the contents with all its details.

In the said video released on the early hours of Thursday, appeared to be imhis thirties threatened to use live rounds on APC supporters while calling on others to purchase the brand of revolver he held.

The Security Sector, however, admonished organisations and individuals close to the video’s author to dissociate themselves from him.

In early April, the Office of National Security (ONS) issued a statement that they will be instituting strict security protocols ahead, during and after the elections in June. They indicated that there will be an institution of Military Aid to Civil Power (MAC-P) ready to squash any potential peace disruption ahead of and during the elections.

There was a video of the Presidential guards threatening violence on " tolongbo" supporters, neither the ministry of information, nor the ministry of defense or ONS said anything. So this "fool" on the video thought it is cool n ok to threatening APC supporters. I condemn tribalism, regionalism, violence and all forms of evil ad unpatriotic thoughts and actions

This is abruptly inhuman. why killing trying to kill someone's else's relative at the expense of other, when you are not even part and parcel in the sharing of the national cake. paopa is good at painting bad to good. All should note that Sierra Leone does not belong to one political party especially the SLPP as they always assumed. more so SLPP should not think that they are the only ones that love sierra leone or have sierra leone at heart, but all. Such attitude of threatening to kill is uncalled for and it is inhuman and hatered....God will take control.

This is a common practice of the PAOPA government, In Bo City for example, a senior member of the PAOPA reigm expressed his plans to kill all opponent members of his party. In Kenema, a woman was seriously beaten for putting up Dr. Samura Kamara's poster by her house. She was threatened with killing if found campaigning for the APC in Kenema city. In Free town, the PAOPA security forces fired life bullets at unarmed demonstrators killing over forty innocent civilians. In Makeni, Tombo, Tonko Limba, Lunsar, and Mile 91 armless civilians were killed by PAOPA security forces. All these actions were sanctioned by President Bio, Fatima Bio and senior members of the PAOPA government.
