The Sierra Leone Police has revealed that the force has dismissed two police officers for misconduct while on duty.
This development was announced by Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Kapri S. Kamara at their weekly press update at Police Headquarters on George Street in Freetown.
One of the dismissed officers was Police Constable 12960 Ferenkeh Paul was said to be in possession of 42 wraps of narcotic drugs popularly known as kush.
Constable Paul, who was awaiting deployment to Somalia through the Formed Police Unit (FPU), is being investigated by the Transnational Crime Unit (TOCU) for criminal investigation while the matter is being heard in court.

AIG Kamara also revealed that the second police officer to be dismissed, Constable 20522 Edward Kaimachende from the Operational Support Division (OSD) was found working under the influence of alcohol earlier this month.
The AIG noted that the Constables were dismissed for violating police rules.
