A forty-two-year-old man has reportedly died on the night of Thursday, February 8th, 2024 after he was allegedly beaten with sticks and cutlasses in Simiria Chiefdom in Northern town of Mabonto.

Hassan Jalloh, a father of five the family says was beaten up last week Monday by three men in the same town.

Tejan Jalloh, the deceased younger brother said his late brother was accused of stealing a touch light by his alleged killers the day before the incident.

Though the deceased denied the allegation, the suspect in custody, Tejan Jalloh said attacked his late brother after an argument ensued between the men and his brother.

It was in the wake of the said argument, that Tejan Jalloh said his brother was attacked, beaten up with sticks, and chopped on the head with a cutlass.

The matter, the deceased younger brother said was reported to the Police post in the Chiefdom but he alleges that the Police treated the matter with levity.

The now-deceased Hassan Jalloh wasn’t taken to the hospital a week after the alleged incident and his health deteriorated day after day, according to the family.

It was on Thursday, the day the forty-two-year-old man finally gave up the ghost that attempts were made to rush him to the Magburaka Government hospital in Magburaka town.

“Unfortunately, my brother died on the way to Magburaka,” Tejan Jalloh stated.

When contacted, the Police Post in the Chiefdom hasn’t commented on the story to ascertain the many allegations put up by the family.

As of 11:00 am on the 9th of February 2024 when Sierraloaded visited the family home in Mabonto, Jalloh’s dead body was still lying in their family home in Mabonto.

Sierraloaded learned that Magburaka Politice station is aware of the incident and has sent for the body to be moved to Magburaka town. However, as of the time of writing this article, the body was still lying inside the family home.
