In a remarkable display of collaboration and shared objectives, the SLRCS DREF Team joined forces with over 150 officers from the Sierra Leone Police Force for a highly productive engagement.
The event took place at the Law Enforcement Academy, formerly known as the Police Training School, located in Hastings, Freetown.
The primary aim of this gathering was to provide the participating officers with an extensive understanding of the significance of the Red Cross and Red Crescent emblems, International Humanitarian Laws, and the fundamental principles that underpin the Red Cross Movement.
By equipping the police officers with this vital knowledge, the SLRCS DREF Team seeks to create a safer environment for its staff and volunteers during various interventions and crisis situations. The engagement emphasized the importance of cooperation and effective communication between the police force and the SLRCS, ultimately leading to a more professional and efficient response when faced with emergencies
