In other to avoid possible inconveniences for road users and in response to the restive calls of the community people, the Sierra Leone Road Authority (SLRA) has issued a public notice on emergency road maintenance on the defective section of the Mokorewa Bridge along the Njagbahun junction – Mokorewa – Kangahun – Mosenesie Road and the close of certain strategic roads to trafic in Moyamba District on Sunday 10th to Tuesday 12th March, 2024.

The public notice reads:

“The public is hereby informed that SLRA in collaboration with Sierra Rutile Limited (SRL) intends to undertake maintenance works on the defective section of the Mokorewa Bridge along the Njagbahun junction – Mokorewa – Kangahun – Mosenesie Road on Sunday 10th March to Tuesday 12th March, 2024.

Due to the nature of the emergency maintenance works, the road section from Njagbahun – Junction – Kangahun will be temporarily closed to trafic from 6:00am on Sunday 10th March to Tuesday 12th March, 2024.

Road users may wish to use any of the alternative roads:

> Njagbahun – Junction – Moyamba – Town – Kangahun – Mosenesie Junction

> Taiama – Mano – Baja Junction – Mokanji
