On Monday, May 22, 2023, Alimamy Wurie, an employee at the Ministry of Technical and Higher Education, successfully identified one of the two stolen motorbikes recently recovered by the Waterloo Police Operations Team.
The motorbike in question was found to be the property of the ministry, and it had been stolen from in front of their office located on Howe Street in Freetown.
This identification came in response to a social media post made by the Waterloo Police Media Team, urging the public to step forward and help identify the owner(s) of the stolen motorbikes.
Subsequently, the Waterloo Police authorities have transferred the motorbike in question to two investigators from the Central Police Station in Freetown. The purpose of this transfer is to facilitate further investigations into the theft.
