The vibrant city of Port Loko was plunged into mourning following the untimely death of renowned musician, Steady Bongo.
His final live stage performance on Thursday, December 5th, at the Pastoral Center will forever be etched in the memories of those who attended.
Hundreds of fans gathered to witness the legendary artist’s captivating performance. Little did they know that this would be their last opportunity to experience his electrifying stage presence. The night was filled with joy, energy, and a sense of community as Steady Bongo performed his iconic hits.
“It’s hard to believe what I’m seeing on social media,” shared Balla Sesay, a local resident who attended the concert. “I was at his show on Thursday, can that really be a farewell performance! This is sad.”

Human beings are mortals characterise by human beings subject to death related to natural process as opposed to divine human beings however, I profoundly registered my commiseration following the tragic death of our legend who was commonly called steady Bongo. May Allah resilience blessings germinate in his soul ,May Allah give the entire Sierra Leone nation the strength to overcoming this difficult time.
