On a quiet Friday evening, Osman Timbo, the Deputy Secretary General of the All People’s Congress (APC) party, made a surprise visit to a renowned APC-named Ataya base in Port Loko City.
The base was in the midst of preparations for an executive body election to choose new leadership.
Timbo’s arrival generated excitement, drawing both base members and surrounding supporters, creating a sizeable audience. After receiving a warm welcome and hearing concerns from stakeholders, Timbo expressed his appreciation for the gathering and highlighted the importance of open communication. He emphasized, “I will be coming to Port Loko, the party leadership will be coming to Port Loko,” assuring continued engagement with the region.
Timbo further encouraged unity and collaboration among those present. Base members expressed their gratitude for his visit as he bid them farewell.
Meanwhile, the APC Ataya Base continues its preparations for the upcoming executive election. Registration for interested candidates vying for the chairmanship position is currently ongoing.
