Twenty-nine alleged employees of Q’NET have been charged with unlawful assembly and other criminal offenses by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Waterloo Police Division.
The accused, comprising twenty-four males and five females, were arrested on Thursday, November 15, 2024, during an operation conducted by the police in the Waterloo Township.
According to the police, the group includes twenty-one Sierra Leoneans and eight foreign nationals from neighboring countries.
Their arrest followed concerns about unlawful activities reportedly linked to their operations in the area.
The accused were brought before the Magistrate Court in Waterloo, where they face charges stemming from their alleged unlawful assembly.
Authorities stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing, and the case highlights the commitment of law enforcement to maintaining order in the community.
