Residents of Calaba Town have raised alarm following the discovery of an unidentified corpse near Robis Road, close to the Fullah Mosque. The body, found earlier today, has drawn the attention of passersby and community members, who are now calling on the Freetown City Council and relevant authorities to promptly intervene and handle the situation.
This discovery comes just months after a tragic incident in the same community, when a perimeter fence in Alpha Terrace, Calaba Town, collapsed in August 2024 following heavy rains, killing four people a mother and her three children and injuring ten others. That disaster, caused by long-term structural damage, highlighted ongoing safety concerns in the area.
Locals fear the neighborhood is becoming increasingly prone to tragic events and are urging swift action to identify the deceased, remove the body, and improve community safety measures.
