Two women have reportedly appeared before the Waterloo Magistrate Court following a same-sex marriage ceremony that reportedly took place in New London, Mango Farm, Waterloo, on Friday, 12th September 2025.

According to community reports, the individuals identified as Massah Mansaray and Jannet were said to have held a public marriage-like ceremony at about 4:00 p.m. in the area. Residents described the event as “surprising and unusual” for the community.

Witnesses said news of the ceremony spread quickly across New London and nearby communities, drawing public attention and sparking debate among residents. Some community members reportedly expressed concern over the development and later informed the police.
