Entertainers and musicians are not left out of this and have doubled down to create soundtracks to support the wave and thanks to this, we’ve had a sonically hotter year, with the airwaves taken captive by banger tracks after banger tracks.
Last year 2021, Sierraloaded started the Hottest Artiste List, an undiluted run down of the Artistes that shaped, defined and led music among Sierra Leonean consumers throughout the year.

I-Tribe – #5
Leonard Francis Massaquoi, popularly known as I-Tribe is one of Sierra Leone’s new school vocalists undeniably leaving his mark on the Sierra Leonean music landscape with each record he releases, highlighting glorious vocal talents and charismatic presence as he ascends up the ranks.
Since returning from Nigeria where He represented Sierra Leone at project Fame West Africa, I-Tribe has continued churning out hits home and abroad, racking up mad numbers online and is now being projected to become the future of Afrobeats in Salone.
I-Tribe brings a new vibe of R&B sensation coupled with Afrobeat; this is shown in his stage name as the ‘I’ in I-Tribe stands for Incredible, meaning that he’s a whole tribe that speaks different music languages. He is undoubtedly, one of the most talented artiste in Sierra Leone and would continue to amaze and shock his fans with what he brings to the table.
2021 saw the released on “Tawa” featuring Innocent and Arkman, a melodious Afrobeat joint which combined catchy lyrics and a lovely vibe with sweet melody. He then appeared on Don Creek’s ‘Pointrait’ and Boss La’s ‘Complain’ before dropping “Borbor Pain” in July 2022 which instantly became fans favourite and a talk of the town single.
The song which was named in a Krio slang meaning ‘painless’ culminated into a new anthem for all those who have gone through relationship breakups countless times, showing the way forward and telling them not to give up on love. Borbor Pain has garnered over 180,000 streams online and It is one of the most downloaded songs in Sierraloaded in 2022.
I-Tribe is definitely one for the present and the future if consistency becomes his watchword in 2023 and beyond. While we await more him, He sits as the 5th Hottest Artiste in Sierra Leone 2022.
