Monday 26th of December 2022 was a historic day in Njaluahun Chiefdom Kailahun District as the descendants of the chiefdom launched the pilot Solar Street Lights Installation project in Segwema city.

The initiative was initiated by the Deputy Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Sarjoh Aziz Kamara one of the descendants of the chiefdom.

It was during that colorful and successful event that the former Member of Parliament Abubakar Jajua was moved by the stakeholders’ initiative and hence donated the sum of Le 10 million (ten million leones) in support of the Clean Energy program.

Similarly, he was given a dday’snotice to attend the Gkabama Solar Grid program where he also donated the sum of USD 200.

Hon Jajua has been over the years seen as one of the leading unifiers in both Njaluahun and Njah chiefdoms.
He has been recently praised by indigenes of the two chiefdoms for organizing a Free Peace Live Band Show at his A-Point Investment Centre on Christmas Eve, where supporters of different political camps who were divided after the 2018 General Election were seen dancing shoulder to shoulder.
