The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Sierra Leone and the Ministry of Communication, Technology, and Innovation (MoCTI) have taken steps to improve the functionality of the ACC’s Online Assets Declaration Platform.
A high-level meeting was held on Wednesday at the Ministry’s conference hall in the Youyi Building to discuss measures aimed at making the platform more efficient and user-friendly for public officials.
The meeting was led by ACC Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala and Minister Salima Monorma Bah, alongside technical representatives from MoCTI and the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation (DSTI), including Director and Chief Operating Officer Jasper Patrick Sembie.
Commissioner Kaifala commended MoCTI’s technical expertise, stating that improving the platform’s usability would ease the burden on the ACC while ensuring public officials can easily comply with asset declaration requirements. He emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to enhance transparency and accountability in governance.
Minister Bah reaffirmed MoCTI’s commitment to supporting the ACC’s objectives, highlighting the ministry’s role in driving digital transformation within government agencies.
“We are enablers of digital progress. Ensuring easy technological solutions for institutions like the ACC is critical to advancing the government’s broader agenda,” she stated.
