Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has on the Wednesday 8th February, 2023 released their first serialized media release on the  actions taken so far on issues raised in the Auditor General’s Report of 2021 .

According to ACC, the interventions are focused on the aspects of possible or alleged corruption and conducts inconsistent with the provision (s) in the ACC’s Act of 2008 as amended in 2019.

The Commission furthered that, after a thorough review of the Report, they have initiated actions with a view of investigating, prosecuting, or recovering of the public funds, public revenue, public property, as may be necessary and in accordance with Sections 7 and 48 of the ACC’s Act of 2008 as amended in 2019.

The report provides details on investigation conducted on the following bodies; the Petroleum Directorate, Freetown City Council (FCC), Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC), and the Agriculture Value and Chain Development Project (AVDP), Bo.
