Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commissioner, Mr. Francis Ben Kaifala, has announced that the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Prosecutor-General’s Office of the Russian Federation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fight against corruption.

The agreement was signed in Doha, Qatar, and is based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. It seeks to enhance collaboration between the two institutions by expanding the scope of their respective strengths and competencies.

According to Mr. Kaifala, the MoU is designed to reinforce joint efforts to combat corruption while ensuring full compliance with the domestic laws of both countries, as well as relevant international laws and existing international commitments.

The partnership underscores Sierra Leone’s continued commitment to international cooperation in tackling corruption and promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance through lawful and mutually respectful engagement with global partners.
