Eight senior officials from the Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs (MoPAPA) are participating in a two-week training at the Kenya School of Government (KSG) in Nairobi, focusing on public policy formulation and transformative leadership.

The training, implemented under the MAPE Project and funded by the European Union, supports MoPAPA’s mandate to coordinate public sector reforms and implement the Strategic Roadmap for Revamping the Public Service Architecture under Pillar 5 of the Government’s Medium-Term National Development Plan.

According to the Ministry, the training aims to:

Strengthen institutional and human resource capacity within MoPAPA;

Improve the Ministry’s ability to coordinate and supervise public sector reforms;

Enhance implementation of the Strategic Roadmap for Public Service Revamp; and

Build leadership and policy skills to improve public service delivery across Sierra Leone.

The officials representing the Ministry and the country include:

Mohamed I. Kutubu, Permanent Secretary

Momoh Conteh, Acting Director, Public Administration

Salamatu Martha Kamara, Acting Director, Policy, Planning, Research and M&E
