Angolan politician, Carlos Contreiras ‘General Contreiras’ has strongly condemned Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio, labeling him as “the most corrupt leader in Africa” and a dictator.

The remarks came during a public address where General Contreiras expressed his discontent with allegations linked to President Bio demanding Burkina Faso’s President Ibrahim Traore to step down.

General Contreiras criticized President Bio for his lengthy tenure since 2018, asserting that he has failed to address the dire conditions facing his citizens. “His people are dying; kids are hungry, and poverty is rampant due to bad governance,” he stated emphatically.

The general questioned the legitimacy of President Bio’s authority to intimidate President Traore, emphasizing that “Africa does not belong to the West, it belongs to Africans.” He urged leaders to unite in support of President Traore, whom he described as a legitimate leader loved by his people.

“Where did he get the power to intimidate Ibrahim Traore? I have no respect for you,” General Contreiras declared, reinforcing his stance that African nations should follow their own vision and leadership without external interference.
