The All People’s Congress (APC) has published the official guidelines for organizations seeking to become associate members, in line with the party’s 2022 Constitution.

The guidelines, released yesterday by the APC National Secretariat under the direction of the National Advisory Committee (NAC), set out the necessary rules, fees, and membership dues for Sierra Leonean organizations wishing to align with the party’s mission.

According to Article 9(b) of the APC Constitution, associate membership is open to any Sierra Leonean organization that subscribes to the APC’s aims, objectives, policies, and programs. These rules apply equally to existing affiliates and new groups expressing interest in joining the party.

The Secretariat clarified that organizations pursuing affiliate status must meet specific application criteria and pay both an application fee and recurring membership dues. These financial commitments are seen as integral to ensuring that all affiliate groups remain actively involved and contribute to the APC’s broader objectives.

Party officials highlighted that these affiliations are part of the APC’s efforts to strengthen its outreach and consolidate support from various segments of society. By formalizing association terms, the APC seeks to ensure that all member organizations share its goals and support its political initiatives.

The APC’s guidelines also emphasize that only organizations that align with the party’s core values and ambitions will be granted associate membership. Interested groups are encouraged to contact the National Secretariat for further information on the application process.
