All People’s Congress (APC), National Deputy Secretary General Mohamed Pope Kamara has disclosed his party preparedness to conduct its lower level elections across the country in 2025.

Kamara made this disclosure in an interview following the latest National Advisory
Council (NAC) meeting held at the party’s Old Railway Line headquarters in Freetown.

He stated that the upcoming lower-level elections will be conducted in wards and constituencies across the country with over four hundred and thirty wards and up to one hundred and thirty two constituencies to take part in the said elections.

Kamara also disclosed that up to seven positions will be declared vacant in each ward and constituencies across the country.

Kamara said as an opposition party, the way forward after the presentation of the final Tripartite Committee recommendations is for the general membership of the party to come together and unite, accept the reality and move forward, adding that since the end of the controversial 2023 general elections, there has been no progress and no headway made by the national leadership of the party.

He said most of the party members and supporters are not receiving the correct information or update on activities and events taking place within the party’s branches and other wings, as the leadership is only focus on the Tripartite Committee report, adding that the party has not lost its potential to lead the nation.

Mohamed Pope Kamara ended by calling on all APC members who want to vie for various positions in the upcoming elections to start preparations.
