The All Peoples Congress (APC) has officially rescheduled its nationwide Ward Elections to Saturday, 14 February 2026, following a stakeholder engagement with the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC).

The decision was announced by the APC National Secretariat after what the party described as a “constructive engagement” held on Friday at the Conference Hall of the PPRC, Tower Hill, Freetown. The Secretariat said the rescheduling is intended to ensure a smooth, transparent, and constitutionally compliant electoral process.

In a public notice issued to party members and the general public, the APC outlined key guidelines governing eligibility, verification, payments, and candidature ahead of the elections.

According to the Secretariat, only members who are fully up to date with their membership subscription payments as of Friday, 6 February 2026, will be included in the Register of Eligible Voters. Existing members who have not yet verified their membership but wish to participate in the elections have been advised to complete verification at their respective wards, constituencies, or districts no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10 February 2026. Any verification conducted after the deadline will not be processed.

The party also urged members with outstanding subscription arrears—particularly those whose membership has reached or exceeded one year—to regularise their payments by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, 10 February 2026. The Secretariat warned that payments made after the deadline would not be accepted and affected members would be excluded from the final voters’ register.

On the issue of membership cards, the APC reminded its district, constituency, and ward executives of their obligation under Article 10(e) of the APC Constitution (2022) to issue membership cards to all enrolled members. The party clarified that members whose names appear on the Final Register of Eligible Voters, scheduled for publication on Wednesday, 11 February 2026, but who lack physical cards due to administrative challenges, will still be allowed to vote, provided their details and facial identity match the coloured register at polling centres. Such members may also be required to present a valid National Identity Card for verification.

Regarding applications for ward positions, the APC disclosed that while a significant number of applications have already been submitted online, hard copies of Ward Candidature Forms will also be made available through Regional Chairmen for onward distribution to district, constituency, and ward structures. Both online and manual submission methods remain valid.

The party further encouraged members and aspirants to make all payments both for candidature fees and membership subscriptions through the APC’s dedicated Orange Money Merchant platform, which it said allows for real-time verification through the party’s digital membership system. However, payments may also be made through the APC’s Rokel Commercial Bank account where necessary.

The APC confirmed that the PPRC has been formally notified of the rescheduling and the guidelines governing the conduct of the Ward Elections.
