The 21-man Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC) of the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has presented corrections made on its rules and regulations to the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) for final approval ahead of the party’s lower-level elections across the country.

According to the Secretary General of the ITGC, Hon Abdul K. Kargbo, the committee has inputted objections and suggestions made to the said document by members of the party and it is now left with the PPRC to have it approved.

According to a press release signed by the Secretary General of the ITGC, Hon. Abdul K. Kargbo, the party has acknowledged receipt of several objections from a total of nine members of the party.

Meanwhile, the committee, according to its scribe, has served all of the nine objectors the edited document for their perusal and is now waiting for the PPRC to give its final ruling.

The Secretary-General further disclosed that the committee has held successful meetings with all the objectors and that it is expected that the party promulgated rules and regulations for the conduct of its lower-level elections will soon be re-gazetted for two weeks before it will be used by the Party.

The APC interim scribe further noted that the committee will soon appoint members of the interim independent Elections Management Committee that will conduct and supervise all the lower-level elections of the party by the new APC 2022 Constitution.
