Popular Media Practitioner and former Station Manager of the Radio Democracy, Asmaa James, has opened a new community Radio station that will promote women and girls affairs across the country.

The Radio station, called Rise Radiosl 96.3 fm is a community service media organisation that will provide platforms and opportunities to amplify the voices of women, girls and young people in addressing critical and emerging issues affecting them.

James said the organisation will not only promote women and girls but will also promote human rights, a just and an inclusive society, democracy, progressive governance and climate change through radio broadcasts.

The radio is reported to be the “voice of many voices,” that offers space and opportunities to diverse groups to share their experiences, views, concerns and perspectives.
