The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA), led by Director-General Madam Musa Yerroh Barrie, has reestablished its Consumer Protection Division, a move aimed at strengthening the handling of passenger and airline complaints across the country’s aviation sector.

According to the Authority, the division will serve as a dedicated unit to receive and resolve concerns related to flight cancellations, delays, denied boarding, ticket refunds, missing or delayed baggage, and other service-related issues.

Officials noted that the initiative is also intended to raise public awareness of passenger rights and responsibilities, ensuring that travelers are better informed and protected when using air transport services.

The SLCAA assured the public that the reinstated unit will work closely with airlines to promote accountability, enhance service delivery, and foster trust within the aviation industry.
