Award-winning journalist Amadu Lamrana, a key figure at AYV Media, has officially announced his resignation from the organization
In a heartfelt message shared online, Bah stated, “This is to inform the public that I have resigned from the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media. The reason for my resignation is purely personal.”
Bah joined AYV Media in 2018 and has since been a significant contributor to the network’s success. He co-presented the flagship breakfast program “Wake Up Sierra Leone,” hosted the widely acclaimed “Hot Seat” program, and held various senior positions, including Head of Digital Media, Deputy Head of News and Current Affairs, and most recently, Director of News and Current Affairs.
Reflecting on his tenure at AYV, Bah expressed gratitude to the CEO and President, Anthony Navo Jr., the management team, and his colleagues across all departments. “It has been an incredible experience, and I want to thank the CEO and President, Anthony Navo, Jr., management and colleagues in the newsroom, and all the other departments for their support; we’ve achieved a lot together,” he wrote.
Bah also extended his appreciation to everyone he collaborated with on various projects and to the audience who supported him throughout his journey. “Thanks to everyone who I have collaborated with on different projects during my time at AYV, those who have supported me throughout this journey, our audience who have been commending me, praying, and advising on how to be better, and also those who have genuinely criticized what I was doing, it has honestly made me better. I am grateful.”
Assuring his supporters of his future endeavors, Bah emphasized his commitment to continue his work as an independent journalist. “Please be assured that I will continue to do my work freely as an independent journalist. Thank you all for your continued support.”
Bah’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for AYV Media, where his contributions have left a lasting impact. As he transitions to the next phase of his career, the media landscape will keenly watch his future contributions to journalism.
