Award-winning journalist Amadu Lamrana, a key figure at AYV Media, has officially announced his resignation from the organization
In a heartfelt message shared online, Bah stated, “This is to inform the public that I have resigned from the Africa Young Voices (AYV) Media. The reason for my resignation is purely personal.”
Bah joined AYV Media in 2018 and has since been a significant contributor to the network’s success. He co-presented the flagship breakfast program “Wake Up Sierra Leone,” hosted the widely acclaimed “Hot Seat” program, and held various senior positions, including Head of Digital Media, Deputy Head of News and Current Affairs, and most recently, Director of News and Current Affairs.
Reflecting on his tenure at AYV, Bah expressed gratitude to the CEO and President, Anthony Navo Jr., the management team, and his colleagues across all departments. “It has been an incredible experience, and I want to thank the CEO and President, Anthony Navo, Jr., management and colleagues in the newsroom, and all the other departments for their support; we’ve achieved a lot together,” he wrote.
Bah also extended his appreciation to everyone he collaborated with on various projects and to the audience who supported him throughout his journey. “Thanks to everyone who I have collaborated with on different projects during my time at AYV, those who have supported me throughout this journey, our audience who have been commending me, praying, and advising on how to be better, and also those who have genuinely criticized what I was doing, it has honestly made me better. I am grateful.”
Assuring his supporters of his future endeavors, Bah emphasized his commitment to continue his work as an independent journalist. “Please be assured that I will continue to do my work freely as an independent journalist. Thank you all for your continued support.”
Bah’s departure marks the end of a significant chapter for AYV Media, where his contributions have left a lasting impact. As he transitions to the next phase of his career, the media landscape will keenly watch his future contributions to journalism.
What could have been the reason behind his resignation? Strange 🤔. He is a fine journalist and has been quite good at his job! Sad that he has to leave so soon.
Let him go and “tripartiting” those whom could believe that, 1+1=10. AYV is a very serious organization, many of us trust them. Leh e go join da bigfool set of Sierra Leoneans. But the average Sierra Leoneans are fed up, with no evidence case, that they want to be judge on social media.
I will definitely miss him. An upright & fearless jornalist. God guide your footsteps, dear.
Fine journalist. We will surely miss him on television programs “Hot Seat” and “Wake up Salone”. I wish him well in his future endeavours.
If the best man “Samuel wise” has gone, Samuel the was more neutral and independence what about him that we all know where he belong, so it normal.
Secondly, he can change job or workplace place at his choice what the big deal. Even D J Base resigned. If you like you resign from reading this comment 👍😂
To all sensible and vibrant Sierra Leoneans this is a clear message pass from our big brother Amadu L Bah that always believe in what you do let no body wight you down, Always believe in yourself Is the first key to success, I strongly believe in your decision brother don’t listen 👂 to the noise of the market, the reason best known to you let nobody put you are the Ceo of your life forever.I personal always believe in what you do, rise and shine like a true Hero

I agree he used to be an astute journalist but quite recently he’s been messed up. His acceptance to be misused is very unfortunate. I hope he recovers his integrity ASAP. Anybody behaving against the people of SL will be exposed big-time. A country where ill-fated people gang up to strangle it will be naturally liberated. The end justifies the means
More probable than not this may have a political influence or pressure and the institution (AYV) mutually decided to part ways with him to protect the reputation of the institution. Be it as it may other commenters are free to say what they wish.
This is my 2 cents on his unforeseen resignation.
Welcome to Sierra Leone where speaking truth to power has been for over 3 decades slain on the alter of deception, corruption, and besotted loyalty to political parties than the country at large.
What’s Wrong with AYV All of there workers Are Resigning From Them
Some tin go most dae under this👇👇👇
What is happening with AYV because most of the journalist people admire most, most of them have leave the station only God knows what could be the problem
Well there’s one thing that very clear ” The Trinity on the job”,( you resigned / they dismissed you / or you die) which most journalists don’t believe that it indeed exist. When decent people honorably steps asides this journalists will be all over digging / fabricating reasons why you left to beef up their news. I need some one to tell the true reasons why he resigned. Please give your last news on tripartite.
Until then I wish you well.
MY FOUNDING AND SELF UNDERSTANDING, I THINK HE RESIGN FOR POLITICAL REASONS
I UNDERSTAND HE WANT TO WORK IN POLITICAL LINE’s WITH THE GOVERNMENT OF PRESIDENT BIO (SIERRA LEONE)
