Information Minister Raises Concern Over Sierra Leoneans Sabotaging Country on Global Platform

The Minister of Information and Civic Education Chernor Bah in a panel discussion raised concern accusing Sierra Leoneans of Sabotaging their country to the international world.

According to the minister, he stated that some Sierra Leoneans made a delegation to Washington DC to discourage the American government from providing MCC grants to the country.

He disclosed that the sum of $500 million investment in the energy sector is to be granted to the country and Sierra Leoneans are spending their money and time to see such development doesn’t come to reality.

He said as educated elite, they need to be reminding themselves of what it means to have love for the country, adding that though someone can disagree with the ruling government, but should not go to the extent of destroying it good things because it is for the benefit of the entire county making example to other countries as their citizens will never do such thing to their country.

He said the MCC grant will provide job opportunities for youths in the country and the develop energy facility will be enjoyed by all Sierra Leoneans.

The diasporas especially those in the waiting to seek jobs appointments are highly responsible for all the chaos we are going through. Most of them are hotel attendance, security guards, drivers etc. Highly despaired people that don't even get ticket fare to return home. It's really sad. Sixty years since Sierra Leone gained independence, we are still struggling for electricity and water supply. MCC is trying to support in that respect whilst people are fighting hard to stop it, just because their party is not in power. It's really pathetic for this nation. we the citizens need to open our eyes. It's time for us to forget about this politicians or parties and give our allegiance to our Nation. Put Salon first!!!!

Itis rather unfortunate that unfortunate that some sierra leoneans are still day dreaminng in regards to the only way out from this unfortunate political situation we are in. If you ask me if there is a way out i will say yes .And there is ionly one way out and that is all of us should stop been political extremist and fanatic . Let us divert the negative fantism and extremism to love of Mama Salone and this is only possible if we all honestly stand for the truth and not for our political parties, region or trbe, we should all speak Sierra Leone . I believe the root cause of our menace is the dishonestly lack of truth from all actors involve , say the truth the problem will be dealt with a key element in solving conflict of this nature is TRUTH but no every one has become a party extremist even the religious bodies , civil right activist judiciary, journalists and various forces have folitical loyalists . At the stage we are now only the grace of God can redeem us. What we are experiencing here is the GAME OF THRONES. Indeed my able Minister! Many citizens of this country, especially those living in the diaspora are not patriotic. They are forgetting that they will not stay in another man's own country forever. There will come a time when they will reap what they are planting now.
