Sierra Leonean author and Editor of the renowned Africanist Press has earned a PhD at the Northwestern University, making him the sixth Sierra Leonean to have completed such degree at that university.
The bookworm shared this achievement on his Facebook timeline, which according to him was earned last week.
The Northwestern University is a private research and teaching university located in Evanston, Illinois, United States. Established in 1851 to serve the former Northwest Territory, it is one of the country’s leading and oldest chartered university in Illinois.
According to reports, Six Sierra Leoneans have gained PhD from the University. Enid Forde, was the first Sierra Leonean woman who graduated with a PhD, from there in 1966. Another was Cecil Magbaily Fyle in 1976 and now Chernoh Alpha Bah in 2023.
