Basita Michael has reacted to the decision of the Diaspora Co-ordinator of the National Grand Coalition (NGC), Alan Luke, to resign from his party.

She stated that such principled citizens should be commended and celebrated for that is the only way we can mandate decency and accountability in politicians.

Alan Luke tendered his resignation to the Chairman of the party, Dr. Dennis Bright, 21 hours ago.

This comes days after the party’s leader, Dr. Yumkella reiterates his support for the ruling SLPP party. The same party they had blamed for the worsening economic condition of the country.

According to Luke, the party has lost its trajectory and object for which it was created for in 2017, therefore he can no longer be a part of it.
