President Julius Maada Bio has appointed Dr. Simeon Owizz Koroma as the Chief Medical Examiner of Sierra Leone. 

The appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the President, Julius F. Sandy and dated September 6, 2021.

It reads; “I have honor to inform you that in accordance with part 2 Section 3 (1) of the medical examiners Act 2021, it please His Excellence the president Brig,(Rtd) Julius Maada Bio to appoint you as chief Medical Examiner, Subject to the approval of parliament.

“You are kindly advised to contact the clerk of parliament who will arrange a meeting with the committee on Appointment and the public service of parliament to consider your appointment.

“Following approval by parliament, further details including the term and condition of your appointment, will be communicated to you.”
