President Brigadier General (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio has announced a series of high-level appointments to key water and energy bodies.
The new appointments, made public in a notice from the Office of the President at State House dated October 13, 2025, are as follows:
Ing. Mariwan Kallon has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Guma Valley Water Company.
Mr. Festus Kallay is the new Director General of the Sierra Leone Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission.
Ing. Tildeni Hawa Jabbi takes up the role of Managing Director at the Sierra Leone Water Company.
Ing. Pierre Palmer has been appointed as the Director General of the National Water Resources Management Agency.
According to the public notice, these appointments are subject to parliamentary approval where applicable.
The announcement was formally signed by Barba B. Fortune, the Secretary to the President.

These leadership changes are expected to impact the management and regulation of Sierra Leone’s critical water resources and electricity sector.
