President Bio Appoints New University Chancellors in Sierra Leone
Mohamed Alim Conteh The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Maada has nominated individuals to serve as chancellors of the State Universities of Sierra Leone.
The President made the decision today by stepping down as Chancellor of Public Universities that comprises of Fourah Bay College, Institute of Public Administration and Management, College of Medicine, Njala University and other public universities. His excellency nominated individuals for the reconstituted courts in those universities.
President Bio has been the Chancellor of State Universities since he came to power. As an effort to ensure the independence of educational institutions and free them from political influence, His Excellency decided to nominate individuals to serve as chancellors in State Universities.
