Sierra Leone’s President, Julius Maada Bio has expressed thanks and appreciation to the United Kingdom for their continuous support given to his government and the people of Sierra Leone.

This came about after the British High Commissioner to Sierra Leone, Ms. Lisa Chesney announced an additional $25m grant to Sierra Leone’s educational sector development.

The President said that that they have been eminent towards the overall success of his government’s human capital development agenda.

He added that, the recent grant is aimed at supporting the secondary school improvement program over the next five years.

The President noted that will help advance the radical inclusion strategy and ensure that they continue to provide education as a right for every child in Sierra Leone.

President Bio also thanked the Leadership of the Ministry of Education, David Monina Sngeh and the United Kingdom in Sierra Leone for implementing the $45m, ‘’Leh Wi Lan SL’’ program.
