The Office of the President has issued a public notice announcing the immediate dissolution of the boards of directors for the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) and the Electricity Generation and Transmission Company (EGTC).
The public notice released by the Office of the President states that the decision to dissolve the boards of EDSA and EGTC has been made with immediate effect.
This development comes on the heels of the President’s recent announcement regarding his decision to assume direct control of the Ministry of Energy.
Last week, the President revealed his decision to take direct control of the Ministry of Energy following the resignation of the Energy Minister, Alhaji Kanja Sesay.
The resignation of the energy minister appears to have prompted a series of strategic changes within the energy sector, culminating in the dissolution of the boards of EDSA and EGTC.

You should’ve sack yourself is the best decision.
Not only the board of EDSA ,but even some bad staff need to be sacked or carry out massive redundancy.
We normally get light in our community ( Grafton war wounded) four time a month ,that means every week once.
Education as well.

We are looking forward now to receive the best Electricity supply in the country ( Sierra Leone ).
The most deprived area for electricity supply is P W D ( up Cankaly community ) please let the next committee for electricity supply consider this area.
Many people support their children to educate through the supply of the electricity supply, by selling water, cold drinks and Many things after school.
Go to the Ministry of trade, Transport, Labour and Ministry of mines. These guys are undermining your administration your Excellency.

Good move Mr president, this is exactly what some of us we are hoping to see in this country. MDA and other key government agencies must be put under high supervision and majority of them are working not for the interest of the country but for there own interest. Please continue the good work and we are hoping to see a stable electricity supply in all corners of the capital city soonest.

Good move Mr.President, I will like you to appoint Dr. SAMURA M.W KAMARA as Minister of Energy and some senior Executives members of the main opposition party as board of Directors .Catch a thief to fine a thief.
It is absolutely a good idea to dissolve the Board of Directors on both sectors..They were undermining the development of the energy sector in the entire country and at the same time collecting monthly pay cheques.
