President Bio in welcoming New Born Babies (New Citizens) during the Independence Anniversary has provided gifts to them at the PCMH (Cottage Hospital) in Freetown.
According to the Information Attaché For The Permanent Mission Of Sierra Leone To The United Nations in New york, Mohamed Massaquoi who was part of the team, the PCMH hospital has got light facility, good toilet, workable ambulances and more confirming that, the hospital has got modern facilities up and running for the prevention of lives at any point in time.
The delegation involved the Minister of Health and Sanitation, Austin Demby and the Leader for the National Grand Coalition Party (NGC) Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella who recently formed an alliance with the SLPP.
The Minister of Health and Sanitation, Austin Demby said he was impressed to meet with the staff of the hospital that are very credible and ready to work for the people as they have the capability to handle more complex cases.
“Today we have come and seen all the different stages of delivery from pre labour to actual labour and delivery to recovery “he said, adding that the good thing about PCMH is not only the facility but it is also linked with the teaching institutions.
Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella expressed his satisfaction over the effort put in by the staff and called on all to put politics aside and think about Sierra Leone as a nation for everyone. He said, all these are part of his plans and agenda to form alliance with President Bio to fight a single fight of uniting Sierra Leone and making sure that the people actually gets what they wished from their leaders.
