On Friday 15th April 2022 President Bio and his wife, Madam Fatima Bio joined other dignitaries at the Bo school campus to celebrate OBBA week in Bo city.

The Bo Government Secondary School fondly known as Bo School was founded in 1906 at the behest of the British colonial governor, Leslie Probyn, to educate the sons of Paramount Chiefs. Hence, it has a long history of developing the elite of Sierra Leone, especially the country’s politicians.

His Excellency President Bio, himself an old boy of the school noted in his speech during the opening ceremony, that Bo school was established to provide leadership for Sierra Leone and they have been doing justice to their obligation.

President Bio encouraged the present pupils of the school to take their education seriously to become great leaders, advising them not to embrace hard work and dedication.
In her statement while giving awards to best students in the school, First Lady Madam Fatima Maada Bio said she has never seen a school as courageous and confident as Bo school in the country. She added that Students from Bo school are the best.
