Sierra Leone’s non-resident High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Democratic Socialist of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Gotabaya Rajapakasa.

The presentation ceremony was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka together with other High Commissioners and Ambassadors. The Honours to present first was accorded to H.E Ndomahina in respect the country hold for the President of Sierra Leone.

Making his statement, Commissioner Ndomahina conveyed His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio greetings to his counterpart. H.E Ndomahina said “as the first High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, I pledge to play vital role in building and strengthening Sierra Leone-Sri Lanka friendship.”

He reaffirmed President Bio commitment to strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries in maintaining a high level of mutual trust, genuine friendship, people-to-people bonds and to help carry out pragmatic cooperation in the fields of culture, investment, economy and trade, infrastructure, agriculture and education.

H.E Ndomahina went to say that Sierra Leone and Sri Lanka will cooperate on matters of mutual interest for common benefit of the two countries.

He ended his statement by wishing peace and prosperity to Sri Lanka and Her people.
