The President and Commander-In-Chief of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces, Brig.Rtd. Julius Maada Bio and the First Lady, Fatima Bio has on Wednesday 22 February, 2023 attended the 14th annual armed forces week celebration at the Hockery Pitch, Wilberforce Barracks in Freetown. 

The President commended the Militry Officers for their tireless efforts in making sure that, the peace and security of the country is always assured as well as building hope in the military.

‘’Today we honour all our heroes in military uniform whose selfless sacrifice has continued to ensure the territorial integrity of our country and kept us all safe and secure,’’ he stated.

Speaking on their on the zeal and endurance they have severally commanded over the years in making sure that, the country and its people are secured and remain peaceful, the president stated that, ‘’ We salute their courage, dedication and sacrifice. Happy armed forces day.’’
