President Julius Maada Bio, on Wednesday, joined the Muslim Faithful across Sierra Leone for the Eid-el-Fitr prayers.

Sierraloaded reports that the prayers were held at the State Lodge prayer ground in Freetown.

He was joined at the prayer ground by Vice President Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, Minister of Youth, Mohamed Orman Bangura, among others.

“Today, I joined a cross-section of our Muslim brothers and sisters for the EidAlFitr2024 prayers at the State Lodge in Freetown. May the moments of togetherness in our communities during this Eid celebration foster enduring common values of solidarity, peace and progress across Sierra Leone. A Joyous #Eidmubarak2024 to all Muslims across the World.” the President wrote.

Earlier on Wednesday, President Bio of Sierra Leone urged citizens of the country to continue showing love, compassion, and goodness as the holy month of Ramadan concludes.

In a message delivered to mark the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid Al-Fitr, President Bio extended heartfelt wishes to the Muslim Umma across Sierra Leone and the world.

He expressed hopes that Allah (SWT) would accept their good deeds, forgive their transgressions, and bless them with happiness while gracing their homes with peace.
