Sierra Leone’s President, Dr Julius Maa Bio will launch the distribution of the Free Sanitary Pad Phase II campaign in Bo.

The campaign will take place at the Mini Stadium in Bo, the second-largest city in Sierra Leone on Thursday 2nd February 2023.

The Six thousand (6000) sanitary pads are to be distributed to hundreds of pupils in Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in Bo.

The First Lady, Fatima Maada Bio launched the Maada and Fatima Bio Foundation’s Free Sanitary Pad for School Children’s Initiative on the 14th of December 2019.

The initiative has contributed immensely towards the prevention & reduction of teenage pregnancy in Sierra Leone.
