Sierra Leone’s President H.E Julius Maada Bio has urged all Sierra Leoneans to always remember and work to protect the nation at all points.

In his speech whilst formally opening and delivering the Keynote Address of the 59th Edition of the Jalsa Salana, organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Sierra Leone under the theme: “Islam Means Peace”, he admonished the delegates and all present on the importance of sustaining the basic tenets of Islam, as aptly captured by the theme of the conference, especially in national life and interpersonal relationships at all points one finds him or herself.

This Annual Gathering that is usually organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at has become a great pillar for promoting spiritual growth, fostering community among members, and a platform for religious discourse in the country, and its implications on communities and the country at large has been very vital.

“I used the gathering to extend gratitude to our Ahmadi Muslim brothers and sisters for their significant contribution towards the progress and development of our beloved country, embodying the values of peace, justice, and charity” President Bio stated.

President Bio commended the humanitarian and spiritual efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at for over 100 years in Sierra Leone and reaffirm his Government’s commitment to supporting the Mission in promoting its vision in the country at all times.
