President Julius Maada Bio welcomed Mr. Babadi Kamara, the newly elected President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), his dynamic executive team, and the Minister of Sports to State House today.
The meeting provided an opportunity for the SLFA leadership to present their strategic vision for football development in Sierra Leone.
During his presentation, Mr. Kamara highlighted key priorities for the association, including fostering collaboration, mobilizing resources, building partnerships with mining companies, and working closely with the National Sports Association and Ministry of Sports to revitalize the inter-secondary school league and inter-district competitions. He also emphasized discipline, financial accountability, and transparent management as cornerstones for the association’s growth.
President Bio expressed his excitement about the team’s vision, noting the nation’s deep passion for football. “I was excited to welcome Babadi Kamara, the new President of the Sierra Leone Football Association, his dynamic team, and the Minister of Sports, to State House today! Our nation has a strong passion for football, and I look forward to their leadership in revitalizing our success on the global stage,” he said.
The President also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in football and other sports, assuring the SLFA leadership of unwavering support in their efforts to strengthen Sierra Leone’s sporting landscape.
