President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio has called on locals to embrace unity in order for the West African country to move forward.
Bio, who has recently been re-elected, administered oaths of office to some of his cabinet ministers on Monday, July 31st.
“Having formed my new cabinet, my administration is poised to work with the Legislative and Judicial Arms of Government towards delivering on our Big Five Game-Changer National Development Priorities for the sustainable transformation of our nation,” the President said.
Bio’s reelection has heavily been contested by the main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) who have even boycotted government and governance. The APC refused to accept the 24 June results citing that the data issued by the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) is not in tandem with the reality. They asked the ECSL to release results by polling stations.
Bio, despite the APC’s stance, called on the main opposition and their supporters to embrace unity.
“I, therefore, call on every Sierra Leonean to relinquish our differences and embrace the onerous task of building a vibrant, resilient and prosperous Sierra Leone that works for all,” Bio said on Tuesday, August 1.

Maada Bio thinks that all Sierra Leoneans are from the Mende tribe who are so gullible that they can be easily swayed from the truth.
The APC party members are not talking about Peace or Unity. The APC people are asking the Electoral Commissioner for transparency to be demonstrated in tallying the people’ s loud voices.

This is a simple request which should not give anybody with Integrity a headache.
Honestly speaking, if the Electorial commissioner, an edult, with some form of education cannot support his claim with evidence. Then, what can we say about him? Why do we need somebody like this Idiot, to be paid huge sums of money to help in the destruction of this county? Is Konneh really normal? Did Konneh anticipated the consequences of his unpatriotic actions?
I am sure Maada Bio paid him a lot of money to do what he did.
Maada Bio started demonstrating his evil plans for this country since1992 when he selected the position of the Leader of the Execution Team of the AFRC junter regime. Maada Bio killed more than two hundred military and police officers during that time.
Presently, Maada Bio is secretly engaged in killing senior military officers from the North Western regions of Sierra Leone.
Maada Bio is not a Democrat, he is killer, a thief, a lier and violator of human rights. Maada Bio has destroyed the economy of this county. During Maada Bio’ s regime, Le 800 billion got missing from the Central Bank. The Bank Governor bribed $ 58.5 million dollars for nothing and so the Bank Governor had to escape from pressure.
The New Leone for more than one year now is working hard in hand with the old Leone. What a disgrace?
Sierra Leonean people are the most unhappy people in the world. Sierra Leone has the highest inflation in Africa etc etc and Maada Bio still want to bring us backyard more and more. Why can’t we make a change?
