Opposition politician and former government minister, Dr. Sylvia Blyden has accused Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh, of being complicit in online attacks on her late mother.

Sylvia Blyden stated that the attacks were planned by Esther Wales, who she claims is paid by the Chief Minister to abuse her family. Blyden’s claims follow her criticism of the government’s mishandling of economic issues, specifically inflation and its connection with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She said that Wales spent 24 hours abusing her late mother in September 2024, who died before the dispute began.

“This b!tch crying tears is called ESTHER WALES and she is the one who spent 24 hours non-stop accusing my late Mother on behalf of Chief Minister back in September 2024.”

Blyden claims that the attacks were launched on behalf of the Chief Minister for her outspoken criticism. Blyden has also stated that Wales publicly disclosed to receiving a monthly payment of 6 million Leones from the Chief Minister to abuse her, particularly when she criticized him.

In an audio recording purportedly produced by Wales, the woman is heard indicating that her duty includes abusing Blyden’s family in public places, with a focus on promoting negative narratives about Blyden’s mother.

“Then this crying b!tch Esther Wales did a public audio saying she is being paid 6 Million Leones every month by Chief Minister to, amongst other things, be “abusing Sylvia Blyden’s Mother” every time Sylvia Blyden criticises the Chief Minister.” She stated.

Blyden claims that Wales has received benefits, such as a new house in Bo and two Android phones to help with the internet harassment campaign. Blyden has asked the police to interrogate Wales about the video, which she says is an invitation to criminal behavior.

Blyden finished her posts by stating her family’s faith over the financial money and power possessed by politicians. She committed to keep speaking out against what she sees as corruption and exploitation, especially among men like David Sengeh, whom she accuses of using financial power to silence opposition.
