On May 15, 2024, Dr. Tedhole/Signpost, in partnership with the Door Christian Fellowship Church, donated a variety of essential drugs to the Bo Police Hospital.

The donation, which included gastro-resistant diclofenac, omeprazole tablets, IV ciprofloxacin, injectable ceftriaxone, B-complex capsules, diclofenac capsules, erythromycin tablets, amoxicillin capsules, and metronidazole tablets, aims to support the medical needs of police officers, their families, and the local community.

Bo District Medical Officer (DMO) Amara Steven Ngegbai, who accompanied the donation team, assured Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police Brima Kanneh of his continued support. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between different sectors in addressing community health issues and promoting overall well-being.

“When leaders from different sectors come together and offer their support, it can lead to more effective and holistic approaches to addressing complex challenges,” said DMO Ngegbai.

AIG Kanneh expressed his gratitude for the donation, highlighting the positive relationship between the Sierra Leone Police Force and the community. He noted that open communication, trust, and mutual respect are crucial for building a sense of safety and security.

“It is important for every police officer to prioritize building and maintaining positive relationships with the community to foster a sense of partnership and trust,” Kanneh stated.

Kanneh assured that the drugs would be used for their intended purposes, benefiting both the police force and the public they serve. He emphasized that such donations enhance community policing efforts and improve outcomes by fostering better cooperation, collaboration, and understanding between the police and the community.

The event underscored the significance of multi-sectoral partnerships in addressing community needs and enhancing public health infrastructure.
