A Construction work at the new Police Barracks in York have reached a significant milestone with the commencement of borehole drilling.
This initiative forms part of the ongoing infrastructure expansion under the Sierra Leone Police Transformation Project.
The boreholes, once completed, are expected to provide a sustainable and reliable source of water for officers and their families residing within the facility. This intervention will greatly enhance living conditions and support the welfare of police personnel stationed at the York Barracks.
According to the Sierra Leone Police Media Team, the development underscores the steady progress being made in the broader reform agenda spearheaded by the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu.
The York Barracks Project is one of several infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving operational effectiveness, discipline, and morale across the force.
